Hell's Kitchen features the music and lyrics of Alicia Keys with a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz. The semi-autobiographical musical draws from Keys' experiences growing up in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, where she discovered her passion for piano and songwriting. After premiering at The Public Theater, the show transferred to Broadway's Shubert Theatre in April 2024.
At the 77th Tony Awards, Hell's Kitchen earned 13 nominations and won two awards: Best Leading Actress in a Musical (Maleah Joi Moon in her Broadway debut) and Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Kecia Lewis). The original cast recording won the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
